General Installation:

  • The plastic hose will thread easily onto the valve stem so you don't lose any beads accidentally. Thread it down a full 1/4 inch.

  • Lean the tire against something so that the valve stem is almost straight up and down. You will find the beads flow into the stem easier.

  • When you start to pour, only allow a constant small stream of beads to flow down the tube. If you try to rush it, you'll find you have to keep tapping the valve stem with your finger when they jam up.

  • For pickup customers with existing weights: Put the Dyna Beads in through the valve stem and take it for a ride before removing any weights. It should be smooth or nearly so. Then, starting with the front tires only, make a mark on the rim with a felt pen where the weights are, mark down how many ounces are in that position, and then remove the weights. In most cases you will run smooth, but if the tire had a significant lateral imbalance, you can always put the weights back on.

Instructions for EZ Open Bag:

  • Remove the clip by clasping above and below the clip and pulling gently. Then grab the plastic rod and remove both halves of the clip and discard.

  • Be sure to press the tape together with your fingers to make sure the top of the bag is closed.

*********************************************************************** Important: apply the bead lube only on the outside of the tire, never on the rim and don't let any drip inside. ***********************************************************************

  • Using the machine, walk the first tire bead over the rim, then.........

  • ...lift up the second bead of the tire, and place the bag gently opposite the valve stem and against the inner wall as the picture shows.

Installation for Motorcycles:
  • By far the most popular method is to go through the valve stem. Make sure you remove your valve core.

  • For tires with 90 degree valve stems, try the valve stem method first. An inexpensive vibrating engraver will greatly speed up the process as it shows. If the radius of the bend is too sharp and giving you trouble, the you must break the tire bead and pour the Dyna Beads into the tire. Tilt the tire up after reinstalling the tire bead, so the valve stem is at the top. Then inflate to normal tire pressure.
  • Remove all your weights.

  • Checking air pressure: When you check your air pressure, make sure the valve stems are on the bottom of the tire or nearly so.

  • First ride: On the first ride after installing the beads, accelerate normally to your cruising speed, making sure there is no vibration. If you have any problem please give us a call.

Installation for Off Road Tires:
(This is for tires mounted horizontally on a tire machine)

  • Only install bead lube on the tire, not on the rim, and don't spill any inside the tire.

  • Work the first tire bead down over the rim.

  • Open one bag of Dyna Beads.

  • With one hand, pull up on the upper tire bead, and take the bag and carefully pour the beads into the concave portion of the tire. Throw the empty bag out.

  • Install the second tire bead down over the rim.

  • This is the important part! Before putting the air check onto the valve stem, lift up the tire/wheel assembly a small amount, so the beads all roll down into the bottom, and the valve stem is at the top. This is important so that the incoming blast of air doesn't blow the beads everywhere.

  • Install the valve stem.

  • Pressurize the tire.

For Bead Lock rims:

  • Installation for bead lock rims is super-easy, regardless whether they are single, double or Staun.

  • All you need to do is pour the beads into the tire cavity so the beads are sittinng against the tire inner liner surface.

  • For Staum, re-inflate the Staum bead lock tube, and then inflate the tire to the recommended pressure.

  • For single/double bead locks, install the bolt-on assemblies as required.

Safety:
If you air down, make sure your valve stem is above the 8:00 or 4:00 position before removing the core.

Do not stand directly in front of the valve stem when airing down! If a bead comes out, it can cause damage or injury.

  • Note: If you didn't order, or can't use, the filtered valve cores, no problem. Before checking tire pressure; simply give the tire a quick shot of compressed air to drive any beads back into the tire. For motorcycles, put the valve stem around the 6:00 position.
